At 18, I began bartending in Canada's largest pool hall.

Your inspiration to begin working in hospitality:

From watching the movie Cocktail too many times!

My mentor, John Arena. Founder of the OHI and DiRōNA (Distinguished Restaurants of North America).

What are your favourite aspects of your job?

Currently as Chairman of DiRōNA. My wife and I travel North America visiting fine dining restaurants and hosting events for restaurateurs and industry professionals.


What has inspired you to continue your career path in hospitality?

The opportunity in 2016 to purchase DiRōNA

Advice for students interested in a career in hospitality:

Follow your passion, if you love what you do you will never work a day in your life!
