My mother who owned and operated a general store and restaurant - my career really
began with her at age 11.

There were many along the way. Kevin Gilhooly taught me a great deal during Hotel
Openings and his work ethic inspired me daily.

What are your favourite aspects of your job?

Successful partnerships, customer service, lifetime learning, relationships and
friendships.

What has inspired you to continue your career path in hospitality?

Growth and evolution.

Advice for students interested in a career in hospitality:

A smile from a customer is worth a thousand words making your time, effort, and work
rewarding and fun. Never stop listening, learning or smiling.
