First hospitality job:

It started off at my family restaurant as a server and assisting in managing the day-to-day operations. That's when I realized it makes me happy to make the guest happy.

Your inspiration to begin working in hospitality:

My parents' family-owned restaurant motivated me to grow in the industry and discover other parts such as accommodations sector.

My mentors currently are Susan Anderson the Director of Operations, Courtyard TownePlace Suites Toronto and Janet Latremouille Course Developer & Facilitator at Humber College.

What are your favourite aspects of your job?

Working with a diverse and multi-cultural team and portraying my personal unique brand by bringing smiles to everyone internally and externally.

What has inspired you to continue your career path in hospitality?

The endless opportunities!

Advice for students interested in a career in hospitality:

Apply for scholarships this helps tremendously. Prepare your Elevator Pitch then Connect with hospitality leaders. Find a mentor. Get your feet in the door you can start off by getting a part time job in the industry.
