Age you started working in hospitality:
18 at St. Hubert but I did a high school co-op placement at the Chimo Hotel when I
was 16 years old.

Your inspiration to begin working in hospitality:
I was co-president of Student's Council in high school and I knew that I wanted to work
in an industry that centred on people and excellent service.

Many! Stephen Phillips (President AFM Hospitality Mgt, deceased) and Harald Kurtzke

What are your favourite aspects of your job?
In education, I get to share my continued passion for the hospitality industry with the
industry's future leaders.

What has inspired you to continue your career path in hospitality?
The People and the Connections! The excitement, the travel, the rapid career growth
and available opportunities, managing an operation and leading teams.

Advice for students interested in a career in hospitality:
If you are interested in a career where you work with customer service-centred
people, where you welcome people from all over the world, where no two days are the
same, all the while being a business leader - hospitality is for you!
