Your inspiration to begin working in hospitality:

After graduating with a degree in Tourism Management, I could not wait to start working in hospitality sector. I was very inspired by the service culture and the diversity of people & thought. I also received a lot of positive encouragement from guests during my internship with a touring company located at a luxury resort which played a huge role in me joining hotels.

My hospitality mentor:

Most of the mentoring that I have had has happened informally. Constructive feedback from some of these individuals has helped me grow professionally and personally.

What are your favourite aspects of your job?

I am very appreciative of the strong friendships and professional relationships that my hospitality career has afforded me.

What has inspired you to continue your career path in hospitality?

The opportunities to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.

Advice for students interested in a career in hospitality:

Plan your careers but do not over plan your career/life; Expect the unexpected and be open to new opportunities.
