I enjoyed making people happy through food or kind words.

My hospitality mentor:

When I was a middle manager my general manager started mentoring me. He must have seen something in me and introduced me to the world of leadership. I'm forever grateful and learned how important it is to believe in your people.

What are your favourite aspects of your job?

Mentoring. At this point in my career, I value and enjoy giving back to the industry.

What has inspired you to continue your career path in hospitality?

I am privileged to have a platform where I can connect and help young leaders
throughout their career in the industry. I love supporting young, ambitious leaders.

Advice for students interested in a career in hospitality:

Hospitality requires human to human interaction. This could be guest to employee or
employee to employee. If you enjoy a team environment and the pursuit of making
someones day, this industry is for you.
